Room Rent Market is only a media platform. We display information supplied by the advertiser (owner or dealer), including photos, rent, map pin, RERA or approval notes, and contact details. We do not broker deals, collect rent, or guarantee that any listing is genuine, vacant, or legally transferable. Kindly authenticate this information independently before you pay, sign, or transfer any money. Visit the property. Check ownership papers, society rules, and (where it applies) the state RERA website yourself.
1. Search your city
Pick Residential, Commercial or Land, then Rent, Buy, PG, Lease or Sell. Type an area or tap Auto. Switch grid, list or map.
2. Shortlist listings
Save rooms, plots or shops to compare later. Open any card for photos by room, map pin, price and custom fields.
3. Verify your phone
Sign in with SMS OTP, Google or email. A verified number is required to message, book a visit or see advertiser contact. OTP is not proof of ownership.
4. Talk, then visit
Message stays in your inbox. Book visit sends a request. The advertiser can accept or decline from Notifications.
5. Unlock contact
Show contact first opens a fraud checklist. Then the number is revealed and the advertiser is notified. Never pay token or deposit before you visit.
6. Owners and dealers: list and mark booked
Publish photos, pin and price. You confirm you are authorised to advertise. When it is taken, mark it as booked so seekers see it is not available.
RERA (sale and plots)
The Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016 is central, but each state runs its own portal. For sale / plot listings we ask the advertiser for a RERA number or a reason it does not apply (resale, agricultural, below the 500 sq. m / 8-unit threshold). We do not certify that number. Check it on the official site of the state where the property stands — for Ranchi that is Jharkhand RERA (jharera.jharkhand.gov.in), not another state’s portal. Ordinary rent and PG are generally not RERA projects. Full wording is in the Terms.
Stay safe
- Never pay a token, deposit or brokerage before visiting the property in person.
- Meet in a public or well-lit part of the building for the first visit.
- Owner numbers stay hidden until both of you verify a phone number.
- Do not share OTPs, UPI PINs or bank details in chat.
- Use in-app message or book visit so there is a record of the conversation.
- If you are buying a plot or apartment, verify the RERA number on that state’s official portal — not a screenshot.
Common fraud signs
- They ask for money to “block” or “hold” the room before a visit.
- Rent is far below the area, and they refuse a physical visit.
- They send a payment QR / UPI of a different name than the listing.
- They ask you to install remote-access apps or share an OTP.
- Photos look stolen, or the map pin does not match the address they describe.
